Classic English side dish – some would call it baby food but you will never say it tastes bad.
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
300 gr green peas (fresh or frozen)
1 tablespoon butter
pinch of hot chili powder
2 teaspoons dried mint
1 small garlic clove
pinch of sugar
pinch of salt
Heat up olive oil and butter, add crushed garlic clove and stir in chili powder. Allow 2 minutes and add peas. Slow cook until peas are tender. Add salt and sugar (skip the sugar for more spicy taste). Transfer peas into food processor and blend until pureed. I prefer purees with some more texture rather than creamy ones so I cut my time with blender short.
